The Opportunity:
WSP is currently seeking Co-op Students to join our Bridges team, located in our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Bridge Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting inspection and engineering projects primarily in the field and office as well.

What you can expect to do here:
- To work with Project Managers and Surveyors on the delivery of a variety of engineering projects;
- Conduct maintenance on laboratory and mobile testing equipment and ensure all required testing equipment is available and in good working order;
- Maintain records and organize field data for efficient reporting;
- Perform various ASTM and ASTM modified field tests;
- Travel with a mobile testing crew throughout the province of Alberta, working away from home for days at a time;
- Physically demanding repetitive work over long hours;
- Working outdoors in all weather;
- Prepare reports for clients;
- Aid in setting up temporary construction zones, performing flagging duties, sign setup, and risk identification;
- Work very closely in a team environment for the duration of the summer;
- Other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Have a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clear driver's abstract;
- Currently enrolled in an accredited co-op post-secondary Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology program;
- Adaptable to a changing work environment;
- Motivated, self-starter who can be a leader and work well with a team with a positive attitude;
- Good coordination and technical writing skills;
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal;
- Ability and willingness to travel for work projects.
