Job Description:

The Market Risk Technology Team is looking for Business Systems Analysis Specialist to contribute to the build out of an intraday reporting and analytics platform.

The Intraday platform is responsible for the workflow, management, reporting and analytics tooling of market and credit risk of trading instruments (e.g. Interest Rate derivatives, FX, Credit, Commodity, equities), utilizing the TDS in-house data platform. The platform will cater to Market Risk and Credit Risk stakeholders, with the ambition of expanding to Liquidity Risk and PnL/PnL Attribution. The core team is located in New York and Toronto with a presence in London and Singapore.

The ideal candidate would be a self-starting, motivated and high-performing individual who looks forward to being a strong contributor in a dynamic technology organization at a major bank. This complex role is on a team of highly talented technologists delivering solutions to the global markets business, risk managers, as well as other functions within the dealer. The candidate will collaborate with a development team for the application to design, build, and implement the application in a BSA capacity. This includes requirements gathering, defining scope, and testing for the application. Additionally, the candidate is expected to lead strategic and vision discussions in limited capacity and represent the team in a positive light.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of FICC and Equity financial products in a Market risk and Credit risk capacity
  • Working knowledge of various Risk Metrics in the Market and Counterparty Credit space
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Experience writing specifications and test cases, and conducting SIT/UAT testing
  • 5+ years' experience in the Market risk and Credit risk space in a technical business analysis or risk management role
  • Working knowledge and prior experience working with data platforms, data lakehouses, distributed file systems, and data analytics
  • Experience working on big data sets with bi-temporal support
  • Identification of bugs and writing of resolution test plans
  • Design and create test cases for new software features
  • Engage, coordinate, and manage change across multiple groups through requirements gathering and implementation
  • Perform presentations on various methodologies, solutions and project results to clients; Strong interpersonal skills to explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike
  • Experience working with analytical quantitative libraries and valuation systems a plus
  • Act as a leader to junior members of the team

Education :

BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
