KPMG is currently looking to recruit a Proposal Manager with strong business writing skills and project management capabilities. The successful candidate's role is to help the Pursuit Director and Client Service Teams focus their thinking to develop their pitch story/message succinctly and persuasively to convey strong client-centric value propositions.

The chosen candidate will work with various Management consulting groups in order to assist in the proposal development process and create and shape the proposal around client's needs.

What you will do
The successful candidate will:
  • Develop the pursuit strategy and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the proposal's lifecycle.
  • Write and edit proposal documents that are focused and innovative in both approach and creative execution.
  • Search for relevant qualifications and experts across the KPMG global network.
  • Participate with lead partners and client service professionals in identifying benefits and added value for clients, as well as win themes and key insights in order to levering the internal sales methodology.
  • Act as the support point of contact in the end-to-end process: evaluating requirements, organizing kick-off meetings, developing timelines and accountabilities as per deadlines.
  • Development and preparation of clients/bidders' meetings and oral presentation materials.
  • Work with other areas of practice (i.e., Graphics, Research, Function & Industry Marketing, etc.) to reach objectives in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure that written submissions are KPMG Brand and Regulatory compliant and meet RFP requirements.
  • Coordinate support services, as required/as appropriate (e.g., translation, graphics and desktop publishing services, digital and print services, other administrative support, etc.) throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
Be an active member of the National Management Consulting Team and the National Pursuits Community.

What you bring to the role
The candidate must clearly demonstrate experience performing responsibilities similar to this advertised position: strong project management skills, detailed oriented, creative approach/ ability to innovate and exceptional follow-up skills. The successful candidate will possess, at a minimum, the following skills:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in proposal and/or business writing in which sales skills are required.
  • BA/BS degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Commerce or other related fields.
  • Impeccable grammar and detail oriented. Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Quick study and self-starter capabilities in order to work with little day-to-day supervision - Proficiency at using tools to search relevant internal qualifications and publications.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to create and modify styles in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Understanding of business development processes and methodologies.
  • Capacity to work effectively within deadlines and short timeframes.
  • Excellent coordination skills to manage multiple, disparate projects through completion.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively and proactively with a wide range of professionals at every level of the organization.
  • Positive attitude; Flexible and agile.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to create and modify styles in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
