What you can expect to do here:
  • You'll lead a team of SCADA engineers, acting as the first point of contact for all SCADA opportunities for utility scale renewable projects, manage the workload and assignment of the SCADA team.
  • You'll foster a collaborative culture through mentorship and guidance, perform annual performance review and define yearly objectives
  • You'll manage relationships with internal and external clients and ensure that their needs are understood and met, providing your guidance and expertise.
  • You'll be using your technical expertise to actively contribute to the technical implementation of projects
  • You'll support the development of the team by providing training and mentoring,
  • You'll ensure project quality control by reviewing peer work and following state-of-the-art design processes.
  • You'll use your knowledge of the SCADA market to Actively participate in decisions regarding team development and vision
  • You'll support the business development and provide support for service proposals and opportunity evaluations.

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • You are a registered professional engineer in Alberta and potentially other provinces
  • You have 6+ years of professional SCADA experience in operations, engineering or project Management
  • You are experienced in SCADA integration, relevant SCADA communication protocols, computer interfaces, networks, and cyber security
  • You possess strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions among SCADA vendors and other team members
  • You've got access to a vehicle, a clean Driver's Abstract, and you know your way around the MS Office suite of products;
