What will your typical day look like?

• Collaborate on Greenhouse and Discovery Zone experience design and implement technology requirements
• Ensure Greenhouse and Discovery Zone enabling technologies (PCs, servers, mobile devices, interactive screens, AV system, networks, online tools) are prepared for client delivery and meet internal IT compliance standards
• Tech produce and support the delivery of Greenhouse and Discovery Zone experience in all three delivery formats (in-room, hybrid, online)
• Provide day-to-day technology support in the Greenhouse and Discovery Zone
• Research, assess, test and onboard new technology assets and tools (both hardware and software)
• Support the development, onboarding, activation, and enhancement of Discovery Zone demos and their use cases
  

About the team

The Deloitte Greenhouse Experience Program in Calgary is seeking a highly motivated Technology Specialist responsible for the management and operation of the Greenhouse and Discovery Zone enabling technologies, supporting the Greenhouse session delivery, and the Discovery Zone asset/solution onboarding and activation.

The successful candidate will participate in the co-creation of Greenhouse and Discovery Zone experiences, lead technology implementations and operations, provide day-to-day technology support, and assist with the development and enhancement of Discovery Zone demos and their use cases.

The role requires strong oral and written communication skills. Functional knowledge of enterprise office technology and a genuine interest in emerging technologies are a must. Experience in the Energy, Resources, and/or Power and Utilities industry, with the ability to connect the application of technology and innovative solutions to real-world industry issues is a bonus. Some physical activities such as setting up, relocating, dismantling IT hardware will be required. Onsite work is required for session preparation and delivery. Some travel may be required.

In summary, this is an exciting opportunity and position that will allow the incumbent to connect with and learn from many professionals and SMEs within the firm from various service lines and senior level business executives on many different most-pressing challenges while working on the latest and greatest technology products and solutions.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

• Post-secondary education in an IT discipline or equivalent practical experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven experience in providing IT support in a large corporate environment
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft systems and software (Windows 10 and 11, Office 365, Forms, SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams and etc)
• Experience working in cross-functional development and implementation teams
• Working knowledge and/or functional understanding of emerging technologies, with an interest in researching and presenting cutting-edge concepts and technology solutions for potential demo development
• Flexible schedule with the ability to meet demanding client time requirements
• Required to work onsite (i.e. 60% or 3 days/week) and some travel nationally may be required
• Experience in the Energy, Resources, and/or Power and Utilities industry with the ability to support the development and/or activation of innovative technology solutions addressing key industry challenges is an asset
• Comfortable with public speaking to small to medium sized groups, presenting to clients, senior executives, and industry leaders is an asset
• Experience in software development (JavaScript, C#, Python) is an asset
• Basic understanding of enterprise network setup and configuration is an asset
• Working knowledge and experience with online collaboration tools (Klaxoon, Miro, Poll Everywhere, Qualtrics) is an asset

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
