Manager - Contracts for our Alberta Bridges, Highways & Roads team.
This opportunity can be based in Edmonton, Red Deer or Calgary.

What you can expect to do:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Contracts office,
- Ensure contract details align with Provincial legislation & specifications,
- Review contracts and tenders for accuracy and completeness,
- Ensure WSP's internal contract templates are accurate and up to date,
- Make recommendations for contract awards and prepare responses,
- Complete quality control checks of tender submissions and award letters, including compliance with regulations, specifications and guidelines,
- Review Final Details for accuracy, completeness and quality,
- Review and submit contract documents to clients as required,
- Provide contract risk management and risk mitigation oversight,
- Make recommendations for contract awards and prepare responses,
- Support Managers with Claims responses.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- P. Eng., C.E.T. or a combination of related experience and/or education will be considered,
- Well rounded understanding of highway and bridge construction projects or similar type of work,
- Demonstrable Canadian experience working with contracts and related regulations,
- A fundamental understanding of Alberta Transportational and Economic Corridors General & Standard Specifications,
- Fundamental understanding of legal terminology and contract law,
- Well organized and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines,
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a wide variety of interests/authorities, including various levels of government, utility companies and contractors,
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Sound leadership abilities.
- Valid Alberta driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
