Job Description
WSP is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Property & Buildings team, located at our Edmonton office. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering building development projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager and Project Director.

What you can expect to do here:
- Represent the interests of the Client and WSP throughout the Project's Life Cycle
- Make project management decisions that comply with WSP's vision and targets
- Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may negatively impact client relations
- Attend project meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
- Participate in project start-up meetings with the client, design team, and contractors, chair site meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures
- Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team Receives and prioritizes requests in conjunction with the project PM
- Prepare project-related documentation as required, such as cost, risk, and action logs, schedules, minutes of meetings, etc.
- Review field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project. Draft weekly and monthly reports for the clients
- Assist the PM in the issuance of requests for proposals, (RFP), tenders, or other procurement methods. Keep accurate records during these processes
- Issue Contracts, Letters of Intent, Purchase Orders, etc. Maintain Contract Execution Tracking Log Review and track Consultant, Suppliers, and Contractor progress claims for billing purposes Ensure that all insurances are in place, up to date, and made out correctly
- Track and manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
- Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained. Draft building and development permit applications for review by PM
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external partners and industry relationships

What you'll bring to WSP:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation
- 3-5 years experience with managing multiple different projects concurrently
- Experience in mentoring, managing, motivating, and developing strong relationships
- Software requirements; EMS Office, MS Project
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practices and project management tools;
- Ability to present technical information in a compelling, concise and understandable manner to project stakeholders who lack technical expertise
- Proven ability to monitor schedules and provide direction for managing improvements
- Proven ability to manage cash flow and budget compliance
- Commercial construction estimating experience may be considered an asset
- Building envelope experience may be considered an asset
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering; Architecture or Construction Management may be considered an asset
