Job Description
The People & Culture (P&C) Leader will lead a team of high-performing professionals, including coordinators, specialists, and administrators. This role involves translating business needs into strategic plans and actions for the P&C department, focusing on Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, HR Operations, and Compliance. The leader will maintain a data-driven department, utilizing analytics and metrics to support and align departmental and organizational objectives.

Key Accountabilities:
Talent Acquisition:
• Manages a team by developing and maintaining effective work structure and processes; ensures comprehensive training, coaching, and development of all team members.
• Oversees high volume hiring and deployment strategies to meet business needs, while being in accordance with Paladin's best practice standards.
• Innovates hiring methods to identify unique and non-traditional sources of recruiting and takes steps to ensure a positive candidate experience.
• Organizes career fairs and other recruitment initiatives.
• Provides metrics and regular quality KPI reporting to support company objectives, identify areas of improvement and set action plans into place.
• Experience sourcing candidates using social media (e.g., LinkedIn)
• Manage regional budget for recruitment
• Maintains knowledge and proficiency in recruiting and development techniques, workforce planning, employment law, provincial regulations and requirements, and HR best practices; attends relevant workshops and networking events regularly.
Employee Care (employee engagement):
• Oversee and manage the exit interview process, analyze results, develop action plans, and collaborate with operational teams to implement changes.
• Assists with employee retention and development; supports employment branding and marketing initiatives (e.g., employee engagement surveys, Glassdoor/Indeed reviews).
P&C Operations & Compliance:
• Manage and oversee the P&C Compliances for the region ensuing legislative requirements are met and maintained.
• Oversee the employee lifecycle, identify gaps and make recommendations.
Collaborate with the Director of People & Culture on special assignments, based on business needs, your passions and areas of interest. Examples include Regional KPI development, 9-box talent management initiatives etc.

This is an onsite role working 5 days a week in the Calgary Office with some travel within Southern Alberta required.

What You Bring:
• 5 - 7+ years of experience in a managerial position
• 5 + years of experience in a high-volume recruitment environment
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area
• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP/CHRL) designation preferred
• Excellent change management skills
• Adept at managing and delivering on multiple concurrent initiatives while leading and supporting a team
• Experience in full-cycle recruitment, ideally focused on the security industry or a similar service sector
• Experience in unionized environments an asset
• Proficient in strategic talent sourcing initiatives and workforce planning
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive work ethic, innovative and able to think outside-the-box
• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
