What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant in our Incident Response Readiness team, your day-to-day activities will involve supporting the development and implementation of incident response strategies, plans, and frameworks for our clients. You will work on projects across multiple clients and industries, collaborating closely with client teams and Deloitte colleagues. Your responsibilities may include assessing incident readiness strategies, assisting in the creation of incident response plans and playbooks, developing tabletop simulation exercises presentations and reports as well as participating in business development activities such as proposal building for various clients looking to Deloitte for IR services. You will also contribute to conducting incident response training, technology resilience testing, and help administer the IR Retainer Service offering.
About the team

We consist of intellectually curious, ambitious, and results-oriented professionals, including world-class security experts in incident readiness and response, as well as forensics specialists and incident recovery professionals. Our goal is to deliver end-to-end solutions that help organizations manage information and technology risks, enabling ongoing, secure, and reliable operations. To excel in this role, you should either hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or have a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity, with a mix of experience in cyber, IT, or risk management. While technical experience may not be required, the ability to participate in technical discussions is crucial. You should possess strong communication skills and be comfortable in varied business and political contexts. Being results-oriented, independent, and having great client management capabilities are key strengths. Strong time management, report writing, and presentation skills are also important. Additionally, you should have strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to understand and deconstruct complex issues.
Key qualifications and skills we are looking for include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Understanding of incident response frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience in building Incident Response related documentation and developing tabletop simulation exercises.
- Familiarity with data management and governance principles is a plus.
- Knowledge of technology resilience strategies and technologies is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic security clearance is required, and working towards an industry-recognized cybersecurity certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA is desirable.

Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $125,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
