These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.In tax accounting services at PwC, you will assist businesses in preparing and reviewing tax provisions, tax returns, and financial statements, confirming compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Financial Reporting & Tax Compliance Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Use feedback and reflection to develop self awareness , personal strengths and address development areas
• Delegate to others to provide stretch opportunities, coaching them to deliver results
• Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
• Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current industry or sector trends
• Review your work and that of others for quality, accuracy and relevance
• Know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice
• Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives
• Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others
• Able to read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
• Collaborating with others independently or within a team environment
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Experience in an accounting firm is an asset
• Qualified Canadian CPA or equivalent reciprocal/recognized designation is considered an asset
• Hands-on experience in accounting and tax software such as Taxprep , Silverfin or similar softwares
• Drafting financial statements including note disclosures
• Experienced in review and compilation engagements
• Understanding of ASPE accounting standards
• Understanding of Canadian tax and ability to prepare tax returns for corporations, trusts and partnerships
• Creativity in problem solving in today's dynamic environment, bringing your perspectives to the stakeholders
• Excellent client relationship management skills
