Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a GHG Verification Senior Associate you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Perform GHG verification procedures in accordance with ISO 14064 and provincial emissions regulations across Canada
• Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team. On most assignments, you will be teamed with a multi-disciplinary set of professionals
• Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems
• Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from source data/information, and know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice
• Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives
• Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others
• Read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships
• Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct
• Use your analytical skills to apply regulatory frameworks to client opportunities
• Effectively prioritize and manage multiple assignments and clients
• Be proactive in completing your assigned tasks, and be detail oriented when completing your work
• Communicate progress on assignments to clients and team members, identifying solutions to potential obstacles and managing client expectations
• Understand and demonstrate the principle of recognizing and managing professional risk
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Environmental Sciences, or a related field
• Previous experience in GHG verifications , GHG inventories , or verifications for the Federal Clean Fuels Regulation
• Experience in GHG quantification in the extractive sectors (oil & gas, mining, or forestry)
• Knowledge of, or training in relevant ISO standards (ISO14064/65)
• Experience with verifications under regulations in different Canadian jurisdictions , e.g. AB (TIER); BC (GGIRCA / OBPS ); SK (SK MRGG); ON (EPS), Federal OBPS , or the Federal Clean Fuels Regulation
• Good knowledge of industrial processes, government policy, project economics
• Strong client-service orientation, team and project management skills, with a focus on achieving high quality deliverables
• Ability to think strategically, work independently and contribute to the team
