Expected Salary Range: $84,981.00 - $106,227.00 - $132,784.00

The Team

Joining the Social Purpose & Marketing Division means you'll be working with a group of talented professionals in Social Purpose, Community & Stakeholder Engagement, Communications & Government Relations, Marketing, CRM & Loyalty and Customer Support. As a Crown corporation that earns more than a billion dollars in annual revenue for B.C., BCLC's commitment to giving funds back to the province is an integral part of our business, but still only one piece of the picture.

You will be joining an amazing team of experiential marketers who are skilled at bringing our brands to life. We strive to create compelling experiences for all guests and players across all touchpoints. We appreciate that the battle for people's attention and their discretionary entertainment spend is becoming more challenging as competition in the gambling and entertainment space is rising. Our team strives to keep pace with emerging player preferences, whether it's gambling or non-gambling, winning or losing, we create captivating experiences for all our players and guests.

The Role

As our Senior Specialist in Experience Marketing, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how players engage with our Scratch & Win brand across retail. You'll use your experience to elevate player experiences, ensuring every interaction is memorable, drive marketing strategies, and leverage enterprise player experience and product strategies to shape the future of our player engagement.

Specifically, this role will support the launch of a new Scratch & Win ticket called - the "Big Spin". The successful candidate will travel around the province with a large Spin Wheel to build excitement and engagement for this new Scratch & Win product offering.

What you will accomplish
  • Drive consumer awareness of the new game to establish the "Big Spin" product brand in a way that builds excitement and impact for the product launch at every stop
  • Support player needs by educating players on the new game mechanics, delivering an outstanding experience with every interaction
  • Create unique player experiences to amplify the "Big Spin" brand throughout the province of British Columbia
Qualifications & skills
  • 4 to 6 years recent, related experience in the discipline of experiential marketing, consumer retail marketing or advertising agency environment with a retail marketing focus;
  • A valid class 5 drivers license
  • Expertise in marketing, experiential marketing, advertising and branding, with an emphasis in the area of retail marketing;
  • A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.

  • An outgoing, enthusiastic, approachable, friendly individual with a passion for marketing who can easily connect with people
  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect with our players all over the province and work effectively with internal stakeholders and leading and guiding local teams on site
  • Experience in event marketing, retail roadshows, and product launches.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and stay within budget.
  • A take-charge, can do attitude - you will need to provide leadership and guidance to teams in the cities you visit
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, handle a project curveball, pivot when needed, make decisions on the fly, and ensure a quick resolution to support a successful outcome
  • Willingness to travel across the province to bring the "Big Spin" excitement to various retail locations
